Artemide, situated in Pregnana Milanese, was founded in 1960 by Ernesto Gismondi. Its products are sold in more than a hundred countries.

Artemide presently employs over 700 people, including 60 in R&D, across five production plants in Italy, France, Hungary, and Canada, as well as glassworks and a Research & Development center with prototype labs and breakthrough experiments.
