Lee Broom will present new editions of key pieces during NYCxDESIGN at his New York showroom, 34 Greene Street, SoHo, from 17th – 22nd May. The presentation will include the launch of ‘Little Lens Flair’, a small-scale version of the popular spherical lighting piece that launched during New York Design Week in 2018. Lee Broom is one of the UK’s leading product designers. With his highly original brand of luxury furniture and lighting designs, his work is recognized and retailed across the globe. Since he founded the company in 2007 Broom has created over 100 furniture, accessory and lighting pieces, all of which are designed, manufactured and retailed under the Lee Broom brand.

Winning over 30 awards to date, including ELLE Deco International Design Awards for the second consistent year in 2019, British Designer of the Year, and The Queen’s Award for Enterprise presented by Her Majesty The Queen in 2015, the past 12 years have seen the brand grow at an unprecedented rate. Broom has made design a successful global business with products retailed in over 250 stores in 50 countries around the world alongside his own flagship showrooms in London and New York.

Lee Broom will debut new editions of key pieces from his award-winning Observatory lighting collection during NYCxDESIGN at his New York showroom, 34 Greene Street, SoHo, USA, from 17th – 22nd May. The presentation will include the launch of ‘Little Lens Flair’, a small-scale version of the popular spherical lighting piece that launched during New York Design Week in 2018. Also on show will be the Eclipse Light which was the recipient of the ‘Best in Show’ Award for NYCxDESIGN 2018. The eclipse will be showcased in a newly polished gold edition alongside Lee Broom’s celebrated Orion Lights which will be presented in an elegant, gunmetal finish. The Lee Broom showroom will be curated to reflect the new editions within a dark and striking setting.

Since Observatory launched in Milan, New York, and London in 2018, the collection has won four international design awards, including more recently ‘Best Lighting’ at the 2019 ELLE Deco International Design Awards held during Milan Design Week.

LITTLE LENS FLAIR

New for 2019, Little Lens Flair is a piece of two halves, seamlessly combining the solid and the transparent with a contemporary casing and a detailed cross cut lens that emanates soft reflected light. Inspired by telescopic lenses and the art of horizontal and vertical refractions, this eye-catching new piece is available as a Pendant Light, 3-piece Chandelier and Table Lamp in brushed brass or matte black finishes. This new light measures 7 and a half inches in diameter and is designed to work within a cluster or paired with its larger counterpart.

ECLIPSE IN GOLD

A sculptural silhouette with a mobile-like quality, Eclipse Light transforms at every angle. The mirror polished and acrylic discs interact, dissect and obscure, which both eclipses and reveals its illumination to the viewer at the same time. In its new polished gold finish, Eclipse transforms into a warmer, softer interpretation of the original chrome version. Eclipse in polished gold will be available as a single Pendant Light, 3-piece Chandelier and a Table Lamp.
