Eliasson is a Danish-Icelandic artist known for sculptures and large-scale installation art employing elemental materials such as light, water, and air temperature to enhance the viewer’s experience. In 1998 Salto opened his own design studio, working for companies such as Fritz Hansen, DubaB8, Engelbrechts, and Lightyears. In 2003 he opened a new office, Salto & Sigsgaard, together with architect Thomas Sigsgaard.

Jakob Jørgensen is a Danish furniture designer who mainly works in wood. He collaborates with Line Depping under the name Depping & Jørgensen. In February–May 2018, he is one of four designers featured at the exhibition Helstrøm, Odgaard, Depping, Kørgensen at A. Petersen’s exhibition space in Copenhagen.

Her interior design work has included the development of furniture, lighting, and glass for a wide range of buildings from housing in the African tropics to factories, offices, and universities. She has since conducted research into the future of cities and has worked as a planning and design consultant.

Vilhelm Lauritzen was born in Slagelse, Denmark. He studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, graduating in 1921. The following year he founded his own firm, Vilhelm Lauritzen Arkitekter, in 1928 and remained active in the firm until 1969. He died in 1984, but his amazing firm still lives on till this day, and its hellbent in preserving Lauritzen’s legacy and amazing vision. Some major projects included the national Danish Broadcasting Corporation DR Radio Building (Radiohuset).

 

Gesa Hansen

Hansen enhanced her training in Paris working for Jean Nouvel Atelier and H5 but also in Japan at the Nippon Design Center. Following a long family tradition of Danish designers, she founded her design studio in 2009: The Hansen Family. Hansen’s work was exhibited at DesignMai in Berlin (Germany), at 100% Design festival in Seoul (Korea), at Artlab in Brussels (Belgium), at Benetton Group’s Fabrica research center in Treviso and Bologna (Italy), at Salone del Mobile (Italy), at ICFF in New-York and at Meet My Project in Paris and in Milan. Hansen’s work was awarded by two Red Dot Design Awards and the Good Design Award.
