The Office of Thierry W Despont
Mr. Despont completed the restoration of Clayton, the Frick family estate in Pittsburgh, and served as associate architect on the Statue of Liberty’s Centennial Restoration. The Decorative Arts galleries of the new J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles were planned by Mr. Despont, and the sculpture and painting galleries’ interiors were done in partnership with Richard Meier.
The Edmond J. Safra Synagogue on East 63rd Street in New York was designed by the company. There have been retail developments for Chopard and Harry Winston as well as the Ralph Lauren store on Bond Street in London.
Numerous private mansions have been built by the company in The Bahamas, Italy, Switzerland, Great Britain, and many other countries. Additionally, Mr. Despont and his company have finished a number of extremely luxurious hotel projects.
